Project 3- Waffling

With project 3, we had to produce a universal waffling system. I had followed a script from online, that helped me with the scripting, but exploding the geometry was quiet difficult. Through trial and errors. It kind of succeeded, but the only problem was that it did not stick on the plane, but that did not interfere with exporting and different measurements.

Project 1- Letter update

I have re laser cut my model, and also in progress of painting it. Here is the first step of undercoating both side of the faces.

Project 1- Letter printed and assembled.

After modelling the letter, I had to laser cut. The procedure for it was very simple, it was quick and easy to learn. But I forgot to print a few files and so I had to compensate and saw of pieces of wood to act as a sub wall. Here is the finished product. I am thinking of re doing it with all the proper faces.

Project 2- 3d Printed Wall

After baking the wall, it was time to 3d print. After numerous failed attempts in the fablab. I have decided to outsource my model to elsewhere. After 5 days my model came back into the 4 pieces I have split, here is the final model.

Project 2- New 3D printed wall

Overview
Through working again on this assignment, I have been researching and looking up different tutorials on how to make an attractor point. Throught watching and studying, I have realised that with attractor points, there always needs to be a high or low value in the numbering system. That is how the gradient in the wall features are made. The grid points follow a higher points and either the closest or further can have the highest values or lower making the shaping bigger or smaller.

week 3- Final V letter

In the final product, I feel like the extrusion of the voronoi pattern as well as the solid offset and extrusion will make the laser cutting more difficult. But the laser cutting technique was done differently, found on this link    ( http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/prepare-the-work-for-laser-cutting ).

week 2- new letter V

Using the 4point surface and then extruding the make triangle shapes to extrude.
Trying out the voronoi pattern.

Today I upgraded the letter V, and trying to learn about voronoi pattern.

week 2- letter V with boxes

Using the boxes to make the letter was very simple, I am planning to make more boxes decend and acend from the from of the letter to give it make the object look interesting on all sides.

week 1- Grasshopper trial p2 letter V

week 1- Testing the program

Drawing Line

Drawing Circle

2pt circle
Adding pipes, segments and lines.

Today I tested the program 'Grasshopper'. It was quite moderate to difficult program to use. Since using youtube to watch tutorials was hard to understand. I think we have to grasp our own style at solving problems with this programs. As well as practice daily basis.
